If your non-profit housing organization is a partner, please call 1-866-689-0758, between 9AM ET and 6PM ET Monday through Friday / 9AM ET and 5PM ET Saturday and Sunday, to set up your account today! When speaking with our representatives, please reference your housing partner organization.

If you do not see your housing organization listed, please have them e-mail us to start the application process at cfsapplication@rci.rogers.com, to become a Connected for Success housing partner.

 

Please note that eligible Rogers Connected for Success applicants must:

  • Be 18 years of age and older
  • Be a resident of Ontario
  • Have two pieces of Government issued ID e.g. Social Insurance Number (SIN) , Drivers Licence, Passport or Provincial photo ID

We participate in Connecting Families, an initiative of the Government of Canada. Our participation builds on the work of our existing program, Rogers Connected for Success, and helps families receiving maximum Canada Child Benefit (CCB) and maximum Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) access the digital world starting at $9.99/month + taxes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Connecting Families?

Connecting Families initiative has been designed to help bridge the digital divide for low-income Canadian families and Seniors who may struggle to afford access to home Internet. Participating internet providers, including Rogers, Bell, Cogeco, SaskTel, Shaw, TELUS and Videotron, will voluntarily offer discounted home Internet service to randomly selected families who currently receive the maximum Canada Child Benefit and the maximum Guaranteed Income Supplement.

What will participants receive?

With Rogers, eligible Connecting Families participants will be offered the same products as Rogers Connected for Success, which has plans starting at $9.99/month +taxes for 25 Mbps download speed, unlimited data usage, free installation and modem rental.

How do I find out if I qualify for Connecting Families?

Families who currently receive maximum Canada Child Benefit or Seniors who receive maximum Guaranteed Income Supplement will be selected randomly to participate in this initiative. They will be contacted directly by the Government of Canada through a direct mail-out. This letter will contain an access code that they will need to sign up for the initiative through a secure online portal. The access code will be valid for the entire duration of the initiative if the individual remains eligible for max CCB and max GIS.

I received a letter stating that I’m eligible for Connecting Families, what do I do now?

To sign up for the initiative, please visit www.connecting-families.ca and enter the code provided within the letter.

What are the eligibility criteria?

The initiative was designed to connect low-income families and Seniors to the Internet. Rogers and the other participating ISPs are not responsible for determining eligibility and will not have access to any taxpayer information.

I am currently on Rogers Connected for Success, but I think I might qualify for Connecting Families as well, does my internet plan change?

No. If you are already receiving $9.99/month internet through Rogers Connected for Success, you can remain on that plan or call a Rogers Connected For Success agent to explore other internet speeds available to eligible participants , no changes will appear on your monthly invoices.
